Since 2004, and my first, homemade, PHP/MySql based blog, I’ve been fascinated with online applications. I first developed a simple inventory management system for my employer, which has since turned into one of Dijital Media’s flagship products – DMiMS (Dijital Media Inventory Marketing System). In 2008, my attention turned to iPhone development and I produced Slide It! for iPhone. In the past year my attention has moved to Android, as well as most recently HTML5 for true, cross-platform deployment.

Of all the tools I use as a multimedia artist, one of my favorites is Apple’s Motion. While I do occasionally use After Effects, I prefer Motion for its amazing real-time performance (newest iteration excluded). Most of these clips were created using a combination of Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Cinema4D.

This was one of the first character models I ever attempted in 3DS Max. While the general modeling was simple, I learned that texturing and UV-Mapping in 3DS Max takes a little finesse.

These renderings depict a 3D room that was first designed on paper and then modeled and textured in 3D Studio Max. Most of the textures were created from scratch by photographing things around me and then editing them in Photoshop for a perfect fit for my modeled objects. Continue Reading →

Starting with a couple of blueprints (top view and side view) I began with a simple box primitive that was then cut in half, with the symmetry modifier added.
